Sinusite maxillaire chronique (SMC) et allergie nasale.

Résultats d'une étude prospective contrôlée incluant 71 patients présentant une SMC et 16 sujets ayant une rhinite allergique sans histoire sinusienne, soumis à un test de provocation nasale par allergène, avec radio et échographie :

l'allergie nasale peut être la cause d'une sinusite maxillaire chronique.

Un test de provocation nasale peut s'avérer très utile en cas de SMC.

Chronic Maxillary Sinus Disease (CDMS) and nasal allergy.

Results of a prospective clinical controlled study including 71 patients with CDMS and 16 control subjects with allergic rhinitis but no history of sinus disease, underwent a nasal provocation test (NPT) with allergen combined with radiography and ultrasonography: nasal allergy ca be the cause of a CDMS. A nasal provocation test (NPT) can be helpful in case of a CDMS.
